Sara regularly shares her research and expertise in fashion history, sustainability, and material culture through public lectures, invited talks, gallery tours, and workshops. Committed to making fashion history and theory accessible beyond academic settings, she enjoys engaging audiences of all sizes and backgrounds, creating opportunities to explore the cultural, historical, and social significance of fashion. Her presentations address a wide range of topics, from the psychology of sustainability and the history of fashion exhibitions to the influence of Islamic art on Western fashion and the global secondhand clothing trade.
Sara has been invited to speak at institutions including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Georgia Museum of Art, Cornell University, and the Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as universities and cultural institutions across China. She particularly enjoys object-based presentations, gallery tours, and interactive workshops that encourage audiences to engage directly with material culture and connect historical perspectives to contemporary questions.
In 2020, Sara began collaborating with New York Adventure Club to develop a series of virtual educational programs, adapting the organization's in-person New York experiences for online audiences. She continues to offer virtual presentations periodically.
